Jardins Imperiais | The Imperial Palace Gardens

PT: Ainda na nossa curta estadia em Tóquio e no meio de toda a louca azafama desta cidade podemos encontrar um lugar que nos transporta para "trás no tempo", para uma era já quase esquecida no Japão moderno, mas ainda bem viva na memória de todos aqueles que... por exemplo... cresceram a ver na TV o herói inglês Anjin-san (Richard Chamberlain) na serie clássica "Shogun", é assim quase que por magia entramos por uma "porta do tempo", para dar de caras com a velha Edo do Xogunato Tokugawa.
À sua volta, quase de uma forma trocista, permanecem firmes e hirtos os grandes arranha-céus espelhados da capital Japonesa, fazem-nos de imediato lembrar que afinal ainda estamos em pleno século XXI.

Os jardins do palácio imperial (皇居 東 御苑, Kōkyo Higashi Gyoen) são a parte da área interna do palácio que estão abertos ao público.
Estes faziam no passado parte dos círculos de defesa internos do antigo castelo de Edo, o honmaru ("círculo principal") e ninomaru ("círculo secundário").  

Infelizmente, nenhum dos edifícios originais principais (incluindo o castelo) existem hoje em dia, mas ainda podemos vislumbrar os fossos, algumas das paredes e muralhas, bem como os portões de entrada e as várias guaritas que ainda permanecem no local.

Aqui, neste lugar encantado, podemos relaxar e deixar a nossa imaginação voar, deixa~la mesmo "correr a todo o galope", num sitio onde quase poderíamos jurar conseguir ver e até ouvir os passos acelerados dos samurais tanto sobre os estrados de madeira como entre a gravilha do chão, sempre fieis ao senhor do castelo e que estes nos cercam e olham com curiosidade e até apreensão, como que de uma janela do passado ficassem tão surpreendidos quanto nós com as nossas diferenças mutuas (e daí até nem tantas), que nos rodeiam.

Um lugar onde a beleza ímpar da natureza fazem contraste com a louca selva urbana dos Humanos modernos, onde o cantar das pequenas aves canoras e o grasnar barulhento dos corvos fazem uma estranha sinfonia com as rodas dos carros que bem ali ao lado passam numa rotina constante.

Talvez as palavras sejam poucas para descrever os sentimentos, os barulhos e até os cheiros, talvez nem as fotografias tiradas consigam mostrar o quanto o lugar é especial, e muito provavelmente o número de turistas e visitantes que nos rodeiam tirem um pouco do encanto ao local, mas de certo que ficarão, (como nós ficamos), com uma memória agradável que durará por muitos anos vindouros, cada foto, cada vídeo, será como que um longo suspiro para puder voltar, como que por magia, àquele dia, onde flores brancas floresciam por todo o lado ao primeiro calor da Primavera.

Aberto:

•         De 1 de março a 14 de abril
•         9:00 da manhã - 4:30 da tarde (entrada até 4:00 p.m.)
•         De 15 de abril até o final de agosto
•         9:00 da manhã - 5:00 da tarde (entrada até 4:30 p.m.)
•         De 1 de setembro até o final de outubro
•         9:00 da manhã - 4:30 da tarde (entrada até 4:00 p.m.)
•         De 1 de novembro até o final de fevereiro
•         9:00 da manhã - 4:00 p.m. (entrada até 3:30 p.m.)

Fechado:
O Jardim está fechado nos dias e ocasiões seguintes.Todas as segundas e sextas-feiras (aberto no feriado nacional, exceto o aniversário do imperador, 23 de dezembro)

No caso de uma Festa Nacional cair em uma segunda-feira, o Jardim será fechado na terça-feira imediatamente após o feriado nacional.

De 28 de dezembro a 3 de janeiro

Em circunstâncias em que se considere necessário encerrar o Jardim devido a funções do Tribunal Imperial ou outras ocasiões.

EN: Still in our short stay in Tokyo and in the midst of all the crazy bustle of this city we could find a place that transports us back in time to an era almost forgotten in modern Japan, but still alive in the memory of all of those who... for example... grew up watching on TV the English hero "Anjin-san" (Richard Chamberlain) in the classic series "Shogun", it's almost as if by magic we entered through a "time door", to face with the old Edo of  the Tokugawa Shogunate.
Around it, almost mockingly, stand the great mirrored skyscrapers of the Japanese capital they remain firm and stiff, reminding us immediately that we are actually in the twenty-first century.

The gardens of the Imperial Palace (東 御苑 御苑, Kōkyo Higashi Gyoen) are part of the inner palace area which are open to the public.
These were in the past part of the internal defense circles of the ancient castle of Edo, the honmaru ("main circle") and ninomaru ("secondary circle").
Unfortunately, none of the original main buildings (including the castle) exists today, but we can still glimpse the moats, some of the walls, as well the entrance gates and the various gatehouses that still remain on the site. 

Here, in this enchanted place, we can relax and let our imagination fly away, and "runaway at full speed", in a place where we can almost swear that we saw and even heard the accelerated steps of the old samurai running on top of the wooden decks and in the middle of the gravel on the ground, men always loyal to the lord of the castle, and that they surround us and look at us with curiosity and even apprehension, as if from a window from the past they were as surprised as we are with our mutual differences (and even so maybe not so many).
A place where the unparalleled beauty of nature contrasts with the crazy urban jungle of the modern Humans, where the singing of the little songbirds and the raucous cackling of crows make a strange symphony with the wheels of the cars that run outside in a constant routine . 

Perhaps the words are few to describe the feelings, the noises and even the smells, maybe even the photographs taken can not show how special the place is, and most probably the number of tourists and visitors that surround us take away some of the charm from the place, but of course those feelings will remain as a pleasant memory that will last for many years to come, each photo, each video, will be like a long sigh to be able to return, as if by magic, to that day, where white flowers bloomed everywhere in the first heat of spring.

  • From March 1 to April 14
    9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (entry up to 4:00 p.m.)
  • From April 15 to the end of August
    9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (entry up to 4:30 p.m.)
  • From September 1 to the end of October
    9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (entry up to 4:00 p.m.)
  • From November 1 to the end of February
    9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (entry up to 3:30 p.m.)
• Closed: The Garden is closed on the following days and occasions.
  
  • Every Monday and Friday (open on National Holiday except the Emperor's Birthday, December 23)
  • In the event that a National Holiday falls on a Monday, the Garden will be closed on the Tuesday immediately following the National Holiday.
  • From December 28 to January 3
  • In circumstances where it is deemed necessary to close the Garden due to Imperial Court functions or other occasions.
